Kim Coles' Grow-Out Challenge
Kim Coles' Grow-Out Challenge: "Share your grow-out challenge."
Kim Coles issued a Grow-out Challenge. The challenge is to achieve healthy natural hair. In order to participate, you need to start with a good hair trim, create a hair care regiment, and lastly create a balanced diet to complete the challenge.
It sounds simple, but here is my problem: The healthy and well-balanced diet. While I don't eat junk food for every meal, I'm not the healthies either. I love bread, french fries, and my favorite: COOKIES!!!
I am not a person that loves to drink water. I usually mix my water with a crystal light packet. So what is a curly girl to do?
Well since my sister is getting married this September, I need to lose baby weight. My son is now 1 and, I don't have any excuses.
So I'm going to do this. If you are interested, join me! I've posted a link to get to Kim's challenge.
Enjoy!

Hair Product Spring Cleaning
Hair Product Spring Cleaning
If you are like me, then you have a lot of un-used products. A spring cleaning can be just what you need and revitalize some of those old products that you did not like last winter.

CurLillies-Coming to a Store near you!
I decided during my natural conquest that I am going to by products that I can find at a retailer close to home. Now I did purchase hair products online (one time), but not for myself to use. My reasoning is simple! I don't want to run out of anything. I don't want to wait until my favorite hair products are sent to me. Something I most recently decided is to put myself on a hair budget. I am a PJ. I have all kinds of products (I'm really thinking about having a product party). There are all kinds of products that are available that are costly, and curly girls around the world swear by these products. To keep myself from spending hundreds of dollars in hair products each month, I have decided to put myself on a hair budget.
What does this mean? Good-bye to my beloved Mizani! While I love Mizani, it is rather expensive. The shampoo I use is $14.00. By the time I purchase the conditioner and then the deep conditioner, I have spent a total of $55 to $60. That is ridiculous.
So I will be researching good, but inexpensive products to use that can be purchased locally. I will post my comments after I have used the products for a couple of weeks. Since I have quite a bit of my Mizani left we have a while, but stay tune for my upcoming challenge.
I think my first purchase will be Herbal Essence. I've read excellent product reviews for Hello Hydration.
Until then!

Curlies: How Often Should You Wash Your Hair?
Curlies: How Often Should You Wash Your Hair?
When I was in the process of going natural, this was a question that I had. I have yet to determine how often I should wash my hair. I figure I would share this with everyone for those who have the same issue.
Enjoy,
