What's in your Spritzer

I recently read an article posted on CurlyNikki.com and Naturallycurly.com (old articles) regarding spritzers. I thought to myself hmmmm....I can do that. I think spritzers work really well on 2nd/3rd day hair. I recently tried SheaMoistures Cocunut and Hibiscus spritzer. I liked the product but a part of me thought, I make this myself.

So I made 2 spritzers. One can be used daily as a conditioning spritzer and one at night to retain moisture.

Conditionining Spritzer--2oz spritzer bottle

1 to 2 tablespoons of your favorite conditioner. Right now I'm using the Conditioner (Sally's version)
1/2 teaspoon of olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of raw shea butter oil
Enough water to mix

Shake well. It works really well and travels well.

Sealing Spritzer--2 oz bottle (I use this one at night)

I use a mixture of coconut/EVOO/raw shea butter with another water to mix. Use the consistency that will work for you.

Remember the article about preservatives and shelf life of home made products. I only make enough to last about a week and discard everything else.

Other items that work well in sprtizers are aloe vera, sweet almond oil, tea tree oil, glycerin, peppermint oil, and rosemary oil. I posted the link for the article I found on CurlyNikki below.

So what's in your spritzer?

Mineral Oil Versus Coconut Oil: Which is better?

Mineral Oil Versus Coconut Oil: Which is better? Since I am relatively new to the natural world, I found this article very helpful. One thing I learned quickly was that mineral oil was bad for your hair. Well unfortuantely that fact is not all completely true. Once again, it depends on your hair. I hope you find this article helpful. Enjoy! CurLillies
